Day 1: Entebbe
On arrival into Entebbe Airport you will be greeted by our specialist airport team and assisted to FRONTIERS HOTEL for a stay of one night.
Time permitting, you may wish to visit the Botanical Gardens which are a short taxi journey from the hotel.
Overnight: FRONTIERS HOTEL
Day 2 : Lake Mburo National Park
Transfer with your guide 4-5 hours south west stopping at the equator for photographs and souvenirs. Your journey continues passing through local communities and the rolling plains of Ankole before reaching EAGLE’S NEST LODGE in Lake Mburo National Park.
Enjoy an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Mburo where many birds are seen as well as hippos and crocodiles.

Day 3 : Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Enjoy a morning game drive before transferring to the Bwindi National Park.
Your journey takes you along the Kigambira loop through a wooded wilderness with scattered thicket where bushbucks and bush duikers are often sighted.
As you pass through the Kigezi Highlands, with terraced farming and mountain scenery you will see why it is often called the “Switzerland of Africa”. Arrive at Buhoma where you stay for two nights.

Day 4: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Enjoy the wildlife encounter of a lifetime as you trek the majestic mountain gorillas in Bwindi.
You will join one of only a handful of Gorilla tracking groups sent out each day in the Forest (each group has a maximum of 8 people).
After the trek you may wish to take a walk down to the river, browse the souvenir stalls in Buhoma, visit the local women’s craft group or have a tour of the village school. There is also the option to take a guided community walk with the BATWA pigmies and learn about their fascinating history in the forest.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Transfer through the countryside passing through traditional homesteads and farms to the southern sector of the Queen Elizabeth National Park, known as the Ishasha sector, famous for its rare tree climbing lions. Regardless of whether you are lucky enough to see the lions, the area is still scenic and sightings of elephants are regular.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Enjoy a morning game drive. The park’s diverse ecosystem of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife. Look out for buffaloes, lions, elephants and other wild life in their natural habitat.
In the afternoon, join the safari boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which is home a variety of water birds, hippos, elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles and waterbucks. On the way back to the lodge, visit Kataara Women’s Handicraft Centre; a fascinating initiative and a great place to pick up gifts to take home.

Day 7: Kibale Forest National Park
Transfer around 3 hours to the outskirts of Kibale Forest where you stay for one night at Kibale Guest Cottages. In the afternoon, visit Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary for a 4.5 km guided nature walk along pathways and boardwalks; Bigodi is home to more than 200 bird species and 8 kinds of primates – look out for the wild coffee too!

Day 8: End of Itinerary
Enjoy another encounter with the great apes as you trek in one of the best locations for chimpanzee sightings: Kibale Forest.
The chimp trekking activity lasts approximately 3-4 hours, after which you continue to Fort Portal for lunch and a chance to change before continuing onwards to Entebbe.
* Please note that the transfer to Entebbe takes around 6-7 hrs. Please book onward flights departing after 9.00pm to allow sufficient time for check-in.

Price Includes
Transfers (maximum 7 people per vehicle), game drives in a 4×4 Safari Landcruiser, boat cruises and activities as listed, 1x Gorilla trekking permit per person, 1x Chimpanzee trekking permit per person, park fees, bottled mineral water in vehicle, accommodation and meals as listed.
AMREF evacuation insurance is also included – we will evacuate you to the nearest private hospital but you are required to have medical insurance to cover medical bills from that point.

International flights, visas, personal travel insurance, drinks, laundry service, tipping, and any additional activities or services not listed.
