This 8 Day Gorillas & Migration Safari itinerary includes Gorilla and Golden Monkey trekking in Rwanda and a big-5 safari in the famous Serengeti National park, in Tanzania.  During July-October the Serengeti area comes alive with the hooves of 2.5 million wildebeest, Zebra and Gazelle. On arrival into Kigali, you will be met and privately transferred to the HEAVEN BOUTIQUE HOTEL where you stay for one night as we prepare for our migration safari.  Time permitting we can offer a variety of city and cultural tours to allow you to explore Kigali.


In the morning you will kick start the migration safari with a meeting at the hotel with your private driver guide who will take you on a city tour including entrance fees for the genocide memorial.

Transfer 2.5hrs to Musanze on the edge of the Volcanoes national park where you stay for two nights at FIVE VOLCANOES BOUTIQUE HOTEL (standard double room).

The following morning your driver will take you to the Gorilla trekking headquarters where you begin the wildlife encounter of a lifetime as you trek the majestic Mountain Gorillas.

After the trek you will be taken on a guided walking tour of the local village where you can view basket weaving and cooking demonstrations by the local ladies.    Time permitting you may discuss other activities with your guide including a visit to the market town, village tour, boating on the Twin Lakes or tree planting and cultural activities.


In the morning you will be transferred to Kigali Airport where you connect with a flight to Kilimanjaro.

On arrival you will be met air-side by our airport team who will assist you through immigration and transfer you to ONSEA HOUSE in Arusha where you stay for one night.


In the morning you will be transferred to the airport where you board a shared light aircraft flight to the Serengeti.   On arrival you will be met and taken on a game drive to KASKAZ CAMP where you stay for three/four nights (see pricing notes regarding 4th night special offer).

During your stay here you will be taken on twice daily shared game drives with other guests conducted by the resident guides who know the area so well.  This is the perfect location from which to view the migration and enjoy outstanding game sightings as predators are drawn to the vast numbers of prey gathering for their journey into Kenya. This area is well known as one of the best locations for migration viewing and game viewing in general year round and the guides here are outstanding and a joy to spend time with.


After breakfast your guide will take you on a game drive to the airstrip where you depart on a shared light aircraft flight to Kilimanjaro Airport and continue with your onward International flight arrangements.
