7 Days Gorillas and Wildlife of Uganda Safari

DAY 1 : ENTEBBE

On arrival into Entebbe, before the commencement of this Uganda Gorillas and Wildlife safari package you will be met and assisted to your hotel where you stay for one night.

Time permitting, you may wish to book a sunset cruise on Lake Victoria which is the second largest fresh water lake in Africa.  The shoreline borders three countries (Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania).

Alternative activities include guided cycling tours, visits to the botanical gardens and wildlife activities including Ngamba Island Chimpanzee sanctuary, the Uganda wildlife center.

Overnight:  2 FRIENDS BEACH HOTEL

DAY 2 : BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST

You will be transferred to the airport where you depart on a morning light aircraft flight to Bwindi.   On arrival you will be met and transferred to the lode where you stay for two nights.

In the afternoon you will be taken on a community walking tour which offers an insight into the local area and BATWA / pygmies community within Bwindi and the women’s craft and community centre.

Time permitting, you can also walk down to the river on your own or browse the craft market stalls.

DAY 3 : BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST

Enjoy the wildlife encounter of a lifetime as you trek the majestic Uganda Mountain Gorillas.  You will join up to 8 other individuals in your group. Once located your group will spend 1 hour observing them. It is an extraordinary feeling sitting in the dense rain-forest knowing you are with a few of the last remaining Uganda mountain gorillas.

Full guidance on trekking, clothing, tipping and preparations for the safari will be issued upon booking.

In the afternoon you will be taken to the  community project and center where you can browse the craft shop and learn more about the work this special project does to integrate the communities  and help the women gain skills and employment.  This is also home to a clean water pump which services the community.

DAY 4 : MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

Transfer by shared light aircraft flight to Murchison Falls National Park.  On arrival you will be met and transferred to the lodge.

After lunch head off into the park for a private game drive in search of big game.

DAY 5 : MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

In the morning you will be transferred to Budongo Forest where you join a Chimpanzee trekking group to trek the habituated Chimps who reside in the forest.

After lunch you join a shared boat cruises to the base of the mighty Murchison Falls with an afternoon game drive (time permitting).

DAY 6 : MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

Today your guide will take you on private game drives in the park.

DAY 7 : END OF ITINERARY

This day marks the end our 7 day Uganda Gorillas and Wildlife Safari which involves your transfer by shared light aircraft flight to Entebbe and continue with your own onward arrangements.
